After obtaining a BA in Instrumental Music Studies and Musicology in Grahamstown, South Africa, I began a career in the social services, first working in a day service. Throughout the years, I’ve been a Volunteer Coordinator, worked in Community Employment, run a community based pre-vocational program, and became an Activities Director. I’ve spent the past six years working in Long-Term Care; first as a Care Manager in Family Care, then moving to a Long-Term Care Functional Screener in IRIS.

I love to grill and cook whenever I can and have a special love for South African cuisine. I enjoy reading and writing in my spare time. I love to spend time with my husband and children; hiking in the backyard, grilling, and building forts.
