ACCPETING NEW PARTICIPANTS
Artearia has 10 years of experience working in the Social Services Field and working with a diverse group of individuals. Artearia shared area of interest has been mental health counseling and working with adolescents in that field. Artearia says that the desire to help comes naturally; she goes into auto pilot when someone needs help. She helps elders, strangers, friends and family members to make sure they have access to resources they need (such as Hunger Task Force food box or applying for benefits they did not know they were eligible for.)
Artearia was previously employed by the State of Wisconsin Department of Children and Family Services- Program Integrity Unit as a client investigator. In her role with DCF Artearia completed various task including but not limited to fraud investigation, legal representation, policy implementation/update, system update work group participation, and provided technical support to internal and external customers. Artearia was also employed with DHS as IM specialist; she processed benefits (Foodshare, Healthcare, and Childcare) enrollment and maintained ongoing caseload management for these programs.
Artearia will be returning to school to obtain a Master’s of Science in Counseling or Masters of Science in Community Psychology.
