IRIS Consultant 

Mary’s adventure began when she was 18 years old. She began working in a children’s home with the developmentally disabled population in Rockton. At the same time she worked in a nursing home with dementia and Alzheimer patients. She has continued her journey working with that population for over 23 years. Mary has experience working with a variety of individuals who have different challenges; developmental disabilities, autism, behavioral issues, elderly, and individuals with dementia and Alzheimer’s.  She worked in the school system in her hometown for 11 years, She has owned and operated a state licensed CBRF home for dementia and Alzheimer’s clients. She also worked in residential homes in direct care, and supervising 2 state licensed homes AFH, CBRF for 10 years. Her last position with LSS was the program supervisor of 2 day program centers in Beloit and Janesville. They served a variety of individuals which she thoroughly enjoyed. Mary is looking forward to a new adventure with Connections being an IRIS Consultant.

Mary has 3 wonderful grown children living on their own in Arizona and 2 amazing grandchildren, 2 years old and 10 months who have her heart! She lives in Rockton IL with her husband. They have elder animals; 2 cats and 1 dog. She loves refinishing her historical home built in 1841 to its glory. She loves helping her husband in their gardens.
