Experiences that prepared me for this position:
I have dedicated over 20 years to non-profit organizations, working directly with participants as an IRIS consultant, as well as a caregiver. I also managed various group homes and independent living settings for adults with developmental disabilities. I have worked with at- risk youth in out of home care settings. My experience working with at-risk youth involved those with mental health diagnoses, emotional and behavioral disorders of children in protective services and juvenile delinquents. I believe all individuals should live a life of quality and independence to the best of their ability, while encouraging self-direction and confidence.
