Experiences that prepared me for this position:
I fostered/adopted children that have special needs and recognized the value of partnering with schools. This led to a career change and me working in education as a paraprofessional/special education teacher for over 10 years. Prior to joining LSS Connections, I worked as a job coach in the Waukesha/Jefferson area helping individuals with disabilities to become independent, successful, and valuable employees. My mother, who was an RN, often brought me to work with her to visit her elderly patients in assisted living or dementia units when I was growing up. Some of my favorite childhood memories consist of playing cards with the residents.

When not working, My husband and I are enjoying lake life. Every spring I look forward to picking raspberries, blueberries, and mulberries from my yard. I enjoy going local theater performances or playing corn hole at the town hall. You can often find me in my happy spot at the local coffee shop.
